I’m back in Hong Kong for a short holiday over the Raya break! It feels good to be back. The weather is a little cooler now but still hot. I plan to catch up on some work while I’m here but other than that, it’s mostly eating and shopping!

I haven’t taken any photos yet but I did bring my camera this time around and plan to take some baby portraits of my new nephew, Ethan.

Here’s a photo of a cat that lives right outside where we stay. I took this the last time I was here but didn’t upload it yet! I noticed it from the very first day we got into HK because it would always be leashed up at night and I’ve always thought it was a cruel thing to do. However, Allen says it’s better that it has a home than being a stray. The good thing is, we’ve noticed that it hasn’t been on a leash as much anymore lately. We see it every night when we walk home and it’s super sweet! Think I might give it a name soon…

Today is a very special day for me and for FIFOTO Photography and I am elated to share with you my joy & excitement! I have anticipated this for the past 1.5 years and as my best friend, KJ said this morning, “Good things come to those who wait”.

From this day onwards, there will be a lot of planning and organizing. And although the next 2-8 months will be exciting times, I also foresee some crazy hectic and stressful periods that I’ll have to endure, especially with my fall semester starting this week and a packed work schedule from Oct-Dec!

I will not be able to announce just yet, why today is so special because although it has been confirmed, everything is still in the very early stages. I will post more updates and more information as the plans unfold. For now, I would just like to share my joy and excitement with y’all!

Mei-Fern is a really good friend of mine whose fiance, Justin is in the process of migrating to Melbourne. So one day, she asked me whether I wanted to shoot her Pre-Wedding photos, so I said yes. And then she said that it was going to coincide with her holiday in Melbourne and I went WOOOOOHOOOOO!!

A Pre-Wedding shoot in Melbourne!! I was so stoked!!

I’ve been hearing so much about the ‘nice light’ that you get it Australia and indeed it was true. Between me and Aips, we took almost 10,000 pictures throughout our trip there. About 2/3 of it were the Pre-Wedding photos!! (I may be exaggerating!!)

This was taken at Brighton Beach on one of the nicer mornings. We actually came just in time for spring. So the weather was really nice.
