2008 November | FIFOTO Blog - Part 2

WOW!! Has it been a really busy month or what??!! Weddings every weekend and recuperating during the weekdays… who needs exercise when you have weddings to shoot…. so busy till Fiona said i lost weight??!! REALLY???

Anyways, this REAAAALLLYYY overdue post was actually shot on 1st November, at the ‘new’ Zouk. This was the Heiniken Green Room Session which has been missing for some time already. But they’re back with some really awesome international and local acts. There was Van She, Dexpistols and the ever popular LapSap duo.

All these great acts + all their following + the new Zouk = DAMN PACKED VENUE!!

Heineken…..yummmm…….I must have been a wagyu cow in another life (was there such a things so long ago??)

Van She from Australia, not only did they rock as a band, they took to the decks later on that night.

Dexpistols, the Daft Punk of Japan, rocked the sea of people on the dance floor even more!!!

Our local LapSap duo, who have since developed their loyal following, showing that Malaysia pun BOLEH!!!

What’s a LapSap set without some crowd surfing!!

All in all, it was great fun, although getting around the club was hell coz there was practically no space to move around…. but I’d do it again, just feed me beer…..MOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This past weekend’s worth of shoots have set me back by a mile in terms of blogging. To add to my lack of sleep and very tired feet, all of this week has been a mad rush to meet crazy deadlines!

Here’s a sneak peek of Sabrina & CK’s wedding – will blog more on this a super hilarious day soon!

I’m lagging in quite a few blog entries from weddings we’ve shot 1-2 weeks ago. Been busy trying to juggle between work and writing my Marketing paper due at the end of the month! Dr Khong – if you’re reading this – I’m giving work and school 50-50 these few weeks! So I must get an “A” for effort!=)

Anyway, here’s a preview of Adeline & Bean’s pre-wedding shoot from last Monday. Again, the weather didn’t fail to disappoint. In fact, this is another very freaky story of FIFOTO Weather! Will write more on this later!

It was a beautiful morning in Melaka. We started off at the Botanical Gardens and suddenly, out of the blue, the cool morning breeze blew stronger and the sun hid behind grey clouds. And, as any normal person would react, Emily said, “Oh no! Is it gonna rain?” No! No! No! Don’t talk about rain! It won’t rain! It NEVER rains at FIFOTO outdoor shoots!

“Shhhh!” Don’t worry! The wind will blow the dark clouds away and the weather will be perfect!”, I said.

5 minutes later and literally, 5 minutes later, the sun came back and my wish came true! In fact, it was perfect weather throughout our shoot! It remained cloudy throughout the day and we managed to shoot past 12pm! Once again, it freaks me out till today, how the weather has always been kind to us… Steve calls me the witch doctor… David calls me the Bomoh (Malaysian Black Magician). I call it “The Secret”. I read the book about 1 year ago and I practice this on just about anything! I kid not – it WORKS! (And this is proof!)

Emily & Dee are a very cute couple and they posed like seasoned models in front of the camera! They arrived in Melaka a day earlier and had recced the place so they knew exactly where they wanted to shoot! They made some great finds and it was very interesting to shoot at the new sites they discovered, one of which included a Chinese Tea House!

Congrats to Emily & Dee on their upcoming wedding!

Here are my two favorite shots of the day…
