2008 December | FIFOTO Blog - Part 3

David & I were in Penang for 1 day to cover Simeon & Leah’s wedding at the E&O. I have never met the couple before and have only communicated through email this entire time. They were recommended to us by Carrie & Jeremy (Jeremy is cousins with Simeon) whos wedding was shot by Steve & David last year! It was nice to finally put a face to the two names and finally learn how to pronounce “Simeon”! It was also good to see a number of familiar faces, Carrie & Jeremy who flew all the way from the US for the wedding, and some of my Penang friends…

Here’s a sneak peek of the lovely couple! Will blog more about their very emotional wedding soon!

Last weekend was a hectic but joyous one!

David & I shot Joy & Anderson’s ROM in the morning after which I headed to my 3-hour class (and nearly dozed off until Nescafe 3-in-1 came to my rescue!) and right after class, we drove back to Penang. Kit & Emilia drove on their own and we tagged behind them as Kit cleared the highway for us! We were stuck in 3 jams on the highway and ended up taking almost 5.5hrs to get back! And you know you’re back in Penang when you eat before you sleep, wake up, eat again, eat more, nap, and eat again! No kidding!

We had supper as we got in at about 12:30am, got up early the next morning and headed straight for my favorite Sister’s Char Koay Teow (fried flat noodles), went home and celebrated Bam-Bam’s birthday and ate cupcakes, fruits and dessert, napped right after that and woke up 45 minutes later and had take-away duck rice for lunch before our shoot!

We were dead tired after 9 hours of shooting non-stop and had to drive back to KL that night itself (coz David had to work the next day! Real work, I mean!) but it was all worth it! We got to cover two lovely events, celebrate Bam’s birthday and eat a whole lotta Penang food!

Joy & Anderson’s Registration of Marriage ceremony was so beautiful I almost forgot it wasn’t their wedding day!

Here’s a preview of their ROM! More photos to come soon!

It’s Bam-Bam’s 11th Birthday today! We had a party for her yesterday in Penang where she gobbled up one cup cake very quickly and finished off with vanilla ice cream for dessert!

Special thanks to David for the photos!

I was super excited when Adeline had emailed me and confirmed the location of their pre-wedding shoot! They wanted to shoot at a few condos in Mont Kiara! New locations are always interesting for us because we get to see things in a different light and experiment with different backdrops!

I’ve been communicating with Adeline via emails for many months now and we’ve actually never met. It was certainly nice to finally put a face to the name! She has flawless, porcelain skin and looked demure in her cheongsam and wedding gowns! Adeline was also amazing with doing her own hair! She totally surprised me when she changed up her hairdo twice, and all on her own! Albeit Bean’s hectic work phone calls throughout the shoot, he managed to strike his pose and fit right in when the shutter clicked!

They are such a warm couple! We even had a Mac Donald’s tea break in between the shoot!

Congrats to the cute couple on their upcoming wedding!
