Felicia & Chamath

29.04.2009

Felicia (aka the asian SJP…heheh) & Chamath’s wedding was simply wonderful as i had mentioned in ‘The Preview’. A nice, intimate wedding with really close friends and families.

We started out in the morning as usual, headed up to Felicia’s room to get our bride’s preparation shots. I nearly thought I was back home shooting a wedding coz so much Bahasa Indonesia (sounds a bit like Malay) and Hokkein being spoken in the the room. Only when I looked out the window of the hotel room and saw the Golden Gate Bridge and The Transamerica Pyramid and not Petronas Twin Towers did it sink in that we were really shooting in San Fran!!

First time riding in a strech limo…. no nonsense Proton Perdana Limo here!!!

The dinner reception that night was held at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel in Nob Hill and was also very different from the dinners in KL. 12 tables only!! Can you believe it!!

And instead of having table numbers, Felicia & Chamath decided to name the tables by areas in San Fran. I suppose it was to follow their San Francisco Affair theme.

And of coz, there was the couple’s first dance.

And after that, the real dancing started!! I can safely say that EVERYONE in the ballroom got onto the dance floor!!

And the drinking and toasting continued….

The SPCA Animal Party at Palate Pallete yesterday was a BLAST! I have never seen so many pets in a restaurant before! We had set up a photobooth upstairs and sponsored a mini photo session for pet owners and their pets and managed to raise RM310 in 3 hours! 100% of the proceeds went to the SPCA and it felt really good being able to participate in the event! There were so many different dogs – a few I’ve never seen before and plenty mini ones that fitted in handbags!

My favorite of them all….. Jia Wei’s 4 month old French Bulldog – Da Tou (which means “Big Head” in Mandarin). I just wanna take him home! He’s soooo adorable!

Many thanks to Jason, Emilia & Kit for helping out at the photo booth!

Guru, an Afghan Hound. My mom used to have 3 of those (before she had me) and she used to show them! I’ve seen photos of her dogs and have always been intrigued by how sleek and gracious they are! Finally got to meet Guru yesterday!

Mopsy & Guru. Mopsy was rescued from the Shelter, together with two of his other siblings. He was really adorable, staring at me with his innocent eyes!

I’m in LOVE with Da Tou (Big Head in Mandarin).. if only they’d all stay this small and this cute forever!!!

It’s finally Sunday and I’m all rested for SPCA’s Animal Party at Palate Palette later today! FIFOTO will be sponsoring a photobooth and instant prints! 100% of proceeds will be donated to the SPCA! I’ve been looking forward to this event for the past 2 weeks and have invited my dog friend lovers to join in the fun! Will post photobooth photos later tonight!

Jason and I had a blast last night shooting Sook Ping & Ernest’s wedding. We both agreed that there were fantastic vibes at the party! More photos and details to come soon!

Here’s a preview!

Have fun in Mauritius guys!!!

We are hiring!

23.04.2009

If you’ve been keeping in touch with the going-ons at FIFOTO, you’d know that this year, we are missing 3 valuable photographers from our team – Steve & Aips are in the UK, enjoying life, and David is slogging away at his day job in Kuching. And as much as I’d love to sit around and hope and pray that Steve & Aips return in May, the workload is getting a bit crazy and with my dissertation deadline creeping up, it doesn’t hurt to get some new blood in the team! (No, don’t worry, we aren’t vampires!)
