On this special day, although I’m far away, my thoughts and loving wishes are with you. Thank you for being you. You are kind, supportive, loving, and a hopeless romantic (well, you aren’t as hopelessly romantic as you were before …ahem… *hint* hint*) and although sometimes I wished you didn’t have those crazy bad mood swings, I’m sure I’m a lot to put up with as well!

It’s 11:45pm and I’m taking a break from Mr D. Finalized all the survey responses today and will be running the data through SPSS (it’s an analytical software) tomorrow, with the help of God-sent Matthew whom I met through Sylvia at last weekend’s ShootFest. I’m quite excited about the progress I’ve made in the past week and am quite surprised at my diligence in keeping to my timelines. *Pat myself on the back*

Non-traditional couples – I just love them! Kenji & Jade were open to the locations I suggested for their pre-wedding shoot: Abandoned shop lots, open fields and they had one special request which fancied my interest: a French cafe of some sort to match her gown and accessories! I was stoked! After researching a few options with a French theme, we finally managed to get permission to shoot at Nero Vivo, an Italian restaurant on Changkat Bukit Bintang! New places are always refreshing!

We learned a few things about Kenji & Jade that day…

1) Kenji CANNOT do GQ poses

2) Jade LOVES her shoes

3) Kenji will have to find another tux for the garden ceremony. (No, we did not make him sit in the mud. This one’s made of wool…. not quite the kind of fabric for Malaysian weather!)

I attended the afternoon session for Day 2 and was quite upset I had to leave right before the Slideshow Karaoke session started. What is a “Slideshow Karaoke”? – Found out yesterday.. it’s basically a person who comes up to speak about a photo picked out by someone else for a few seconds. Basically…. makeup a story for the photo and BS!! The worst part – I had to leave early to meet a client’s parents in the studio and I got there.. waited and waited… finally gave them a call… and they had forgotten about our meeting! Lesson learned – always make a “reminder” call for every appointment made.. BEFORE the appointment! I can totally empathize with the situation though.. considering the fact that I had completely forgotten about a meeting with a client quite recently!

It’s Sunday night and after an eventful weekend at ShootFest001, I’m back spending quality time with my one true love. Trying very hard to concentrate on my date but am finding it very tough so blogging, twitter and facebook is keeping me sane…. Ok… I really do need to get back to my date with Mr Disseration… He’s getting jealous I haven’t been showing him enough attention over the past few days!

It was a great honor to have the opportunity to photograph Tengku Asra & Tariq’s wedding last weekend! It was definitely a wedding like no other and I will blog more about it soon!
