2009 July | FIFOTO Blog - Part 2

Many people tell me I’m a lucky girl because I had the chance to be up close and personal with 4 Manchester United players today. Although I’m not a soccer fan, it was quite exciting to see all the other people (fans) go crazy! I guess I do feel lucky to have had the opportunity to shoot them! I mean… it IS a once in a lifetime kinda expererience! One thing for sure… it would be a different story if it was David Beckham!

But you know who I think are really lucky? Those kids who won the futsal matches and got to play with them! That must have been a pretty amazing experience!

I don’t normally post previews for event shoots but due to poplar demand, eager Manchester United fans have been hounding me since I got back! So here’s a few photos for now! More to come soon!

Rio Ferdinand

Nani

Now that I’m almost done with my MBA, I will finally have some time to pursue the long list of “To Do’s” I’ve held off for the past 2 years! I’ve been approached by quite a number of you to teach a photography course and I’ve seriously been considering it but have not had the time to actually do it! So… in preparation for it, I’d like to first hear from you!

Do let me know what your preference is… The course will be on basic photography and will include topics on aperture, ISO, shutter, white balance, framing, composition and the rule of thirds. There are two options – 1) To have a full day course and teach you everything in a day. 2) To have a weekly get-together whereby there will be theory, practical, feedback, sharing and discussions. This will be held over 4 weeks, each session will be about 2hours long. To facilitate learning, Option 2 would be the most ideal but it really depends on you!

Tell me what you think!

A beautiful Saturday morning, a garden ceremony at Kenji’s home, no smell of the treacherous haze, it was just a perfect day to get married. And with the fabulous flowers by MNG Bouquets which transformed Kenji’s already gorgeous garden into an enchanted forest, it was just a perfect setting for the garden ceremony.

Here’s a preview of the magical garden ceremony.

99% DONE! I’m wrapping up my paper – putting the appendices, cover page, abstract together… I feel light-hearted and ALMOST free! What’s left is for my supervisors to review it and hopefully they don’t come back with too many changes! And then I’m DONE for REAL! I’m super excited about completing my MBA.. I’ve been doing it part time for the past 3 years and boy it feel like it’s taken forever! My friends say I will feel a void once I’m done.. erm… excuse me? NO WAY! I have a list of things I’ve put on hold for the past couple of months! I’ve sacrificed a LOT for this paper (ie stopped watching all my fav tv series! or even go out for dinner with friends!) and I can’t wait for it to be over! Do you remember the feeling of having to study for an exam and how you felt after it was over? Well.. imagine that but multiply it by 10!!! As iPhone users say….I’ll be JAILBROKEN!!!! Woohoo!

Here’s a preview of Terence & Hui Nee’s wedding Steve and I shot last Sunday. Terence is an old old old friend of mine from back in the day during my short stint in KL between high school and college…. I will blog more about their wedding and her eyes (yes, her eyes!) soon!

Stay tuned!
