Terence & Hui Nee

12.08.2009

Some days are harder than others. Some nights I lie in bed with a hundred thoughts running through my brain, asking myself “What if?” questions. I really hate uncertainty. I hate the unknown. Either way, life goes on and although I try and psych myself into thinking the unknown can be quite exciting, sometimes I think I might just be fooling myself.

If you ask me about Terence & Hui Nee’s wedding, I will tell you one thing, and one thing only – Shu Uemura Designer Eyelashes. Forget about the bugs they ate, or the Coke can Terence tried to tilt at 45 degrees (apparently it’s doable if you drink the right amount of Coke), or the song he tried to sing in Hokkien. I’m afraid to say it but it’s true.. her eyelashes caught the attention of many, my camera included. What perfected the look was her peacock feathered cocktail dress that completely matched her eyelashes! It was picture perfect! Special thanks to Emilia who did the makeup and made it all work!

In retrospect, I must say, Hui Nee did a very good job with the hand-made decorations. She had even put together a bouquet of flowers for the registration tables and they looked professionally done! She definitely has a flare for it!

Here’s to a sweet couple who work and play together (they literally sit across from each other at work!) Congrats to my very old friend Terence & Hui Nee!

All by Hui Nee! Checkout the flowers!

There’s no other way to describe my day today other than “Perfect”. The weather served me well as I slept through the morning showers, nicely tucked and cozy in my bed and didn’t even realize it was raining outside. Lunch was at my favorite SF Coffee and work was at my favorite salad place, Delicious, the one at Marc Residence! What more could I ask for!?

The Freshlook Naturalness workshop was all about natural beauty and renowned stylist, Wei Chun and celebrity makeup artist, Geraldine were invited to speak on how to bring out the beauty in you. Wei Chun talked about styling trends in the fashion industry while Geraldine demonstrated how makeup enhances eye color.

The highlight of the day was when Amri handed me a goodie bag and I was elated to find 2 month’s supply of daily disposable contacts and origins products in an eco bag! I used to wear the grey bi-weekly ones back in college and that was a long time ago! Am excited to see my eyes in hues of hazel, green and grey!
