I photographed a talk at SPACE Furniture the other day. Apparently, there was this designer visiting SPACE and he was going to talk about his chair. I was thinking, what can you talk about a chair? Isn’t a chair just a chair where you just sit on, and how hard is it to just design a chair, after all, it’s just a chair, right?

Boy! Was I so wrong!!

The chair of the day was The RIN Chair by Hiromichi Konno by Fritz Hansen. Fritz Hansen is a designer’s dream Ikea for chairs, lounges and tables. And Hiromichi Konno is the first Asian designer commissioned by Fritz Hansen.

Just take a look at the RIN Chair in the pictures below, didn’t know a plastic chair could be so sexy! When you sit on it, it just nicely wraps your back and your derriere. And the plastic is a special recyclable compound which nicely flex to your movements but not in a way those plastic chairs back in school flex where you could be bend it and be facing behind!

These are NOT the RIN Chairs but they look cool too!

Why am I always exposed to the finer things in life? Sheesh, now I also want to have the RIN Chair for my apartment, I’m moving back in soon, anyone wants to get me one or two for the RE-WARMING of my apartment?

Boom Boom Pow!!!

At the risk of sounding like a total groupie (which I really am not!)… it’s a very special and happy day for me and I’m feeling like a million bucks with this photo taken with Will.I.am of Black Eyed Peas and having the honor of his and Apl.de.ap’s signature on my back!!!! Many thanks to Jeff and Zul who made it possible!!! Tonight was a GOOD night!!!!Excuse me, a GREATTTTTTTTTT night! I’m still in AWE having met the two of them at the pre-party @ Blanc Le Club!!! Will.I.Am is definitely as great a DJ as he is a rapper! He was on the roll for almost 2 hours and his tracks included Gypsy Woman, Jump, When Love Takes Over (I think the David Guetta remix!), Satisfaction (a classic and all-time favorite! Yang, I thought of you!), World Hold On and of course, BOOM BOOM POW and I GOTTA A FEELING!

Will.I.Am ROCKS!!!!

Jeff: THANK YOU for this shot!

Will.I.Am signing off!

Apl.de.ap on the west side! Too bad no photo with him (his bodyguard was pretty tight!!!)

As I hurried off, escaping from the pretty but mosquito-infected field, I took shelter in my car and attended to the 12 agonizing insect bites on my arms. After treating them with my faithful Hansaplast anti-itch patches, I turned around and looked at Yen, concerned that the soon-to-be bride was also attacked by the vicious blood-suckers. Surprisingly, she said she’s always safe with Chook around as they like his blood a lot better. Turning to Chook to find out if he was ok, it was obvious who’s blood they loved even more! Amazingly enough, Chook was hardly bitten! So it’s official! I’m a mosquito magnet! And my lesson learned – NEVER try to brave those blood-sucking creatures! Insect repellent is a MUST (for me, at least!), even if it means having to walk back to the car to get it!

Here’s a preview from this morning’s shoot, one of the many I love! The agony was all worth it!

I’m looking forward to shooting Yen & Chook’s wedding this Saturday. They are so cute and bubbly and just so easy-going! They definitely win the title for “The Most Chilled-Out Couple” ever!

Selamat Hari Raya to all our Muslim friends!

This week has been a blast from the past. I met up with two of my very old and dear friends, one from primary school, and the other from secondary school. Both who I have not met in at least 15 years! It took us a couple of hours to catch up on the missing chunks of our lives and it’s so interesting to see how so many things about a person can change and yet remain the same. And even after so many years of not keeping in touch, we caught up right where we left off!

The weather in Malaysia…if it’s not raining, it’s the haze… On the day we shot Yun Lee and Aik Han’d pre-wedding, I wasn’t concerned about either. Apart from my faith in FIFOTO’s luck with the weather, I was more excited about the fact that we were shooting at the KLPac. It was our first time shooting there and if you’re a photographer, you’d know that place is off limits for wedding photos. (David and Steve had the opportunity to shoot some portraits for a group of local comedians awhile back and the photos turned out great!) If you ask Steve, he’d tell you I was bouncing off the walls… Yes,,, I was stoked!!!
We had a blast! The two of them are so cute and comfortable together and they were pretty adventurous, venturing all over KLPac grounds. Needless to say, we were lucky with the weather again.. The rain the day before had cleared the haze and the weather that morning held out
