Leanne & John |

And yet again, another long weekend has arrived! I’ll be back in Penang for the next two days and I’m stoked! I’ve planned every single meal, right to the very dishes I’m gonna eat! I’ve also requested for durians and rambutans for tea for Friday! It’s been a long time since I’ve been back and I’m craving for some Sister’s CKT, which I plan to have for breakfast both day I’m there! Sean’s new place, Sixty9ine Mansion by the beach has also recently opened and we’re gonna make waves (as we always do!) Friday night!
Leanne & John’s wedding was a perfect example of why I love doing what I do. It was a simple ceremony which unfortunately had to be moved indoors due to the wet grounds from the afternoon showers. Nevertheless, it was a short and sweet exchange of vows witnessed by their close friends and family. One thing I thought was very meaningful which I took away from the sermon was this: ” Marriage is not about finding the right person but being the right partner”. Soooooooo true! In our fairytale dreams, we always wish for price charming to come and sweep us off our feet…. that tall, dark & handsome prince you marry and live happily ever after. At my age, you’ll know life and love don’t come easy. Nobody’s perfect, not even you yourself. And if you’re out there looking for that perfect someone, you’ll probably never marry or be really disappointed.
After posting this comment up on Facebook, I had a few responses and improvisations to the above statement. Daniel said, “It’s about being the right partner to the right person”, which I think makes complete sense and I can testify from my own experiences. It’s hard to change but you will do it for the right person. So as Tina says, it’s also about finding that right person to trigger that change in you.
Back to Leanne and John’s wedding … Nothing could have been more perfect! It was an intimate party of 12 tables ( if you’re a photographer or have been to enough weddings, you’ll know small parties are wayyyyyyy more fun! ), there was some funky entertainment from an energetic and dare I say, over-enthusiastic couple (In a Good way, of coz) and best of all, a lotta crazy dancing on the dancefloor! And I can safely say, Jason and I both had so much fun photographing everyone there!
Congrats to the lovely couple & Happy Wesak Day everyone!
