Having gone through 4 painful days of lowerback pain (I pulled a muscle from sneezing in a cross-legged position last Sunday during lunch and had to shoot a wedding that evening, which pretty much killed my back!), I’m glad the pain has subsided significantly, just in time for the weekend!  So the week is finally over but my weekend is looking wayyyyy more hectic than the past 5 days, in a good way, of course!

Here’s a portrait shoot I did a couple weeks back for Chaswood Resources, who you may know them better as the people behind TGI Fridays, The Apartment, Italiannies, Laundry, just to name a few. We go back a long way…. back when Laundry first opened, and actually if my memory serves me, even way before Laundry days! Chaswood Resources is a comprised of close knit group and very much family-oriented. Everyone there is warm and friendly and the people I’ve seen and photographed there since day 1, are still the same old friendly faces I see today. Needless to say, it was a pleasure photographing them at the Apartment KLCC that day as I got to catch up with Petrina (brainchild behind Laundry and the Apartment and the rest of it!) and discovered Andrew’s hidden talent for modeling!

When he called yesterday and told me the [Behind the Scenes] video of our recent FIFOTO crew shoot was ready, I was stoked and eagerly anticipated his arrival at the studio this afternoon. Shila and I took a break from our hectic album-making session and we were both blown away from the very first few seconds into the clip! Thinking back, we should have taped the expressions on our faces! As expected, Chen Yang did not only meet my expectations but far exceeded it! He did such a great job with the video-recording and editing! (Ok.. I shall stop here now, don’t want to raise the expectations too high but I’m seriously happy with his final cut!) Many thanks to Chen Yang for his passion, talent and artistic effort!

Their undying dedication to FIFOTO is the reason behind where we are today.

A couple weekends back, we got together for a FIFOTO crew shoot for our new upcoming website. We had a lotta fun, as we normally do! Special thanks to Jason for helping with the setup and photography, Emilia, for her incredible makeup, styling and posing skills, Kit for helping us take our group shots, Chen for the [Behing the Scenes] video which will be coming soon and David for the [Behind the Scene] photos. Not forgetting, Steve & Aips for bringing the booze!

Fiona, the wired perfectionist. Slightly more relaxed now upon completion of her MBA.

David, SAP consultant by day, photographer by night. Marathon runner on some weekends.
