It was a wonderful Christmas night as the sun set at Teak, the scenic garden roof top restaurant at Lot 10. The place was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and Christmas themed items such as the gingerbread house, all pretty and ready to be eaten! The star that night was Florence who celebrated her 21st birthday. A group of girls came dressed looking very much like Cosplay characters (Japanese cartoon characters)! Others dressed to the Christmas theme, wearing reindeerĀ  It was such a fun-filled night where everyone enjoyed themselves to the live music, good food and of course, the lovely atmosphere of the Christmas season. Towards the end of the night, it was the cake cutting session where everyone gathered again to commemorate Florence’s birthday.

Once again I would like to wish Happy Birthday to Florence and hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and New Year celebration!

One of the largest dining chains from Japan has arrived in KL. Casual dining that is. And right from the get go we can see that all the people invited for the opening were already letting loose with hugs and kisses. The speeches were short and sweet and very to the point with mutual respect going out from both Malaysian and Japanese Parties. Once that was done we were treated to a Taiko drum exhibition mixed in with some traditional flute music. once that was done, There was a traditional breaking in of the Sake barrel by the both parties as well as the Japanese ambassador. With that first cup of sake served to everyone (of proper age of course!) it was time for the food to be served!

Fortunately I’d been invited to a food tasting session at the restaurant prior to this by a close personal friend of mine so I can personally vouch for the taste! The taiko drums came on for a second time near the end and by this time the everyone had had their fill and were chatting away. Casual dining indeed…

When it comes to classy fashion accessories stores in KL, Oroton KLCC has certainly made a major hit in the local Malaysian fashion market. With it’s history of 73 years which originated from Australia, Oroton is certainly an exclusive brand with products from wallets, handbags, cufflinks, shoes and etc. Local celebrities were also present that day including Huen Su Yin, Mei Yan, Marini Ramlan, Deborah Henry, and many more to name. The Australian high commissioner in Malaysia was present as well to officiate the grand opening of the new store!

The event kicked off with a mini fashion show for Oroton’s accessories. Personally, I think their accessories cater to trendy working professionals today. So if you do happen to be at Suria KLCC, do drop by and have a look at their accessories. It’s at the 1st level Ramlee mall!

It was my second time attending a store launch and what a sight to see so many beautiful people at one place! There were men wearing classy suits, and of course the beautiful ladies, not to forget the yummy food and champagnes that were served throughout the night! DJ Goldfish was on the decks to pump up the atmosphere. Besides there was a magician who walked around the store to entertain the guests, and a master leather craftsman who showcased how the exquisite Dunhill goods were made. It was a classy launch by Dunhill and I’m sure it’d make a great impact with their new store!
